Company Profile

Gail Geary, JD, CMC

Gail Geary is a baby boomer and Renaissance woman whose own career path is an inspiration for anyone
considering transitioning from one career to another.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Emory University, Gail taught High School
English, Speech, and Drama in Decatur, Georgia, and Kings Mountain, North Carolina. In 1978, she was
drawn by the ambition to apply her skills and insights to new and different constituencies and to a different
set of challenges. Gail pursued and earned her law degree from Woodrow Wilson School of Law (cum laude);
her mediation certification from the Justice Center of Atlanta; and her Career Management Consultant
(CMC) designation from Right Management Consultants, a global career transition firm.
After graduation from law school, Gail began a highly successful career at the Aon Group, a global
leader in insurance risk management and human capital consulting. From her first position at the Aon
Group as Corporate Counsel, Gail transformed herself into the top salesperson internationally among 17,000
employees and then to the role of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
With experience and expertise in corporate reorganization and human performance improvement, Gail's
career evolution continued. She has served as an adjunct faculty member for the American Management Association
and for three Atlanta universities.
In 1992, she started her own career management consulting firm and was promptly recruited by Right
Management Consultants. To this day, both her private practice and her affiliation with Right Management
Consultants flourish, and Gail is one of the most highly respected and sought-after career management
consultants in the country.
Under the banner of Atlanta Career Transition, Gail continues making a positive
difference for organizations and individuals. She delivers powerful training seminars for organizations
in conflict resolution, time management, leadership development, strategic sales, and change management.
(Read more about these seminars.) In addition, Gail works with individual
clients to guide them in their career transitions. (Read
more about consulting services for individuals.) Her seminar, "How to Use Age as an Advantage in
Your Career Search", is regularly sold out.
A published writer for many years, Gail recently completed her first book, Over-40
Job Search Guide, published by Jist Publishing in 2005.
